December 2009

Well, last night was the first night of snow at our house and we also set up our Christmas tree. Addison seemed amazed by all of it and just kept pointing out the window at the snow and at the tree. I can't believe that this is her first Christmas and is going to be so much fun, she is at a great age and we are looking forward to watching her Christmas morning. We did have to put up a gate around our tree knowing that Addison likes to touch everything and even if you tell her "no" she goes back with a smile on her face and touches it again! We did go out side last night and this morning to see the snow outside, she liked it for a couple of minutes and then was ready to come inside.

For those of you who haven't heard yet, our second baby is another little girl! Sean and I are very excited to have another little girl knowing that her and Addison will have a close relationship growing up together and being so close in age. We are really anxious to meet her! During the ultrasound, the technician had told us and we could clearly see on the monitor that she doesn't stop moving. So, not only having Addison who never slows down, it looks like her little sister will be following in her footsteps! They will keep Sean and I busy, that's for sure.

Enjoy the pictures and enjoy the holiday season!

Fall Pictures

Just a couple of pictures my mom took while she was watching Addison! :o)

Halloween

YAY, it was Addison's first Halloween! Sean, myself and Addison all came down with a cold the week of Halloween. Addison was definitely feeling miserable and we didn't even know if we were going to be able to get her halloween costume on her. We decided ahead of time that we were not going to take her trick-or-treating we were just going to sit on the front porch and hand out candy to all the kids. So, after Addison's slight melt down, we went out to the front porch and she seemed to be much happier. Our neighbor came over to hand out candy with us. We were able to get Addison's monkey costume on and she seemed quite content watching the kids come up to the house. We gave her a Twix bar to play with and she like chewing on the wrapper (or so we though). The little "monkey" was quiet for a while then I discovered that she had popped open the end of the candy bar and had been sucking down chocolate for about 30 minutes. She managed to squeeze out and eat half a Twix bar without Mom or Dad noticing. And she did not want to give it up! We gave her another one as a distraction figuring that she wouldn't be able to do it again, but sure enough, she wanted that chocolate. Usually Addison is into the sharing mode with everything, but not that candy bar, she didn't even like us looking at it. Soon after that she got distracted with leaf and dropped it to the ground. We laughed for quite a while. She did well sitting there watching the kids and managed to stay outside with us for just about the full 2 hours. We are looking forward to taking her around the neighborhood next year with her little brother/sister and a friend or two! Enjoy the pictures!

Christening

She loves cake and whoopie pies!

Relaxing on the couch after a long day...

We had Addison baptized on 10/25/09 at St. Joseph's Church in Epping. Sean's sister Sherri is Addison's God-mother and my brother Seth is her God-father. It was such a wonderful celebration even though most of the family was unable to come due to illness. It seems that the colds and flu are going around both sides of our family. Unfortunately Sean's sister Sherri was unable to come so Sean's mother stepped in as her proxy. The day was a perfect fall day, it was fairly warm out for the end of October.

Addison looked absolutely beautiful in her Christening gown. A good friend of mine Amy Laliberte had made Addison's dress out of my wedding gown. She did such an amazing job and I couldn't have asked for a more gorgeous dress. It really meant a lot to me that one of my good friends was able to make something so special and that will be able to be handed down to Addison when she gets older, maybe someday for her children's christenings. Thanks for all of your hard work Amy!

Addison was quite fun and was so well behaved during the ceremony. Sean, Addison and I had attended mass prior to the Christening, which she slept through the whole service and then was quite happy during the ceremony. She was playing with her Nana's earrings, clapping, and didn't even cry when the water and oil were put on her head. She did very well and kept us all laughing the entire time. She has such an amazing personality and can just make most of us laugh at just the sight of her little smile.

Addison's 9 Month Check up

This past week Addison had her 9 month check up. She is doing great, she weighs 19 lbs 0 oz, and is 27 1/4" tall. She is in the 50% for both weight and height. She has done such a great job catching up seeing she was so small at the beginning. She was rather funny tearing up all the table paper at the doctor's office and then sharing it with the doctor. At the end of the appointment they had to do some routine blood work to test for lead and her iron levels as well as a flu shot. She didn't cry at all, just yelled at the nurse. She is such a tough little girl.

Well, we were going through a bout of Addison waking up in the middle of the night for probably a month and a half. It was a long 1 1/2 months!!! We decided to move her out of the nursery which is right next door to our room and put her in her own big girl room. It's been almost a week and Addison hasn't woken up at all during the night. She must have been hearing us tossing and turning through the night and it was waking her up. Now we are all much happier in the morning :o)
I went for a check up for baby #2, and everything is looking great! He/she has a nice strong heart beat, and we will be having our ultrasound at the next visit in mid-Novemeber. Sean and I have decided to find out the sex of this baby and hopefully he/she isn't as stubborn as their big sister! (Addison crossed her legs so we couldn't find out). This pregnancy has been going really well. I am tired all the time, which with Addison it had ended shortly after the first trimester, but I am guessing that I am just tired from chasing Addison around while being pregnant. I am feeling huge already, not that I have gained much weight, just seems that I have popped out sooner than I have before.

Big News!

Well, Addison has been a very busy girl! A couple of weeks ago we went apple picking, she loved riding on the tractor ride and sitting under the apple trees chewing on apples. We had such a good time that we went last weekend as well with a couple of her little friends, and with Mom and Dad's friends. Within the past month she has became very fast at crawling, can climb stairs, can pull herself up to stand and can walk holding onto things. She has also learned to clap, which is funny while she is watching tv and people on tv start clapping, she will too. She has grown so much, it still amazes me how much they learn in such a short time. She is an amazing little girl.

So the big news is......... Addison is going to be a big sister! We are expecting baby #2 on March 27, 2010. This pregnancy was a surprise just like Addison, but Sean and I are so happy and excited for the little one to arrive! Everything with the baby looks great, I had an ultrasound this week and he/she appears to be healthy. I have been feeling great, a little tired, but luckily no morning sickness (I don't know how I ended up so lucky without having morning sickness for 2 pregnancies).

We'll keep everyone posted with new Addison updates and updates on the pregnancy!

Summer

Hi everyone, it has been a while since I have posted anything. I have been pretty busy at my new jobs and trying to spend as much time as I can with Addison when I get home. Addison has been doing great since I started back to work. Grammie comes to the house 4 days a week and watches Addison for us, and she loves spending time with her Grammie. Starting in Sept I will only be working 3 days a week, which will be nice. Well, Addison learned how to crawl this past week and her 3rd tooth has come in, the 4th is close behind. She is on the move, it is so unbelievable how fast they learn to do things, within 2 days she could move across the entire house. We have been pretty busy with her friend's 1st birthday parties, swimming at the beach and in Grammie's pool, and she has discovered that she loves popsicles! She's growing up fast and has such a great personality. Here are some pictures, and I will write more again soon.

Summertime FUN!

Addison and I have had a great past couple of days. The sun is finally out and is feeling more like July! We have had plenty to do, and I have been trying to have as much fun with her as possible this week because I start my new job on Monday. It's going to be hard going back to work and missing her all day long. I am sure it will get easier with time, but this week is going to be the hardest. So the past week, we went to Tara's house and played on the beach and to Grammie's pool. The water was chilly at both places but it didn't seem to phase her in the least. She loves the water! Addison went on her swing for the first time, big smiles the entire time! She also has her two bottom front teeth and she loves to brush them! Check out the pictures, and I am sure I will be writing later this week after her 6 month check up. Sean will be taking her seeing that I will be working, I am bummed about that just because I like to be at her check ups, I will have to send a list with him of questions I have, lol. Take care everyone!

It's been a while

It's been a while since I last blogged. Addison is doing great, she is about 5 and a half months old! Within the past month she has learned how to sit on her own, roll over from her back to belly, and today she has cut her first tooth! It's been a very busy month for her, and she has developed quite the personality. She is sleeping through the night, she goes to bed around 7:30 or 8:00 and then will sleep until 6:30 or 7:00 in the morning. She is such a good little girl! This month we had to make an extra trip to the doctors because she keeps vomiting/spitting up with every feeding. I was a little concerned, but she isn't in any pain and she is gaining weight appropriately, so we are just going to wait and see if things get better. As of last week Addison is 14 lbs 14 oz and 24.75 " tall.

Last weekend we went to the beach with Grammie, Grampa, Uncle Seth, Amy, Dylan and Arianna. Addison loves watching the waves and playing (and eating) the sand. I have posted some pictures above. I am sure I will be updating again in a couple of weeks.
