It's been a while

It's been a while since I last blogged. Addison is doing great, she is about 5 and a half months old! Within the past month she has learned how to sit on her own, roll over from her back to belly, and today she has cut her first tooth! It's been a very busy month for her, and she has developed quite the personality. She is sleeping through the night, she goes to bed around 7:30 or 8:00 and then will sleep until 6:30 or 7:00 in the morning. She is such a good little girl! This month we had to make an extra trip to the doctors because she keeps vomiting/spitting up with every feeding. I was a little concerned, but she isn't in any pain and she is gaining weight appropriately, so we are just going to wait and see if things get better. As of last week Addison is 14 lbs 14 oz and 24.75 " tall.

Last weekend we went to the beach with Grammie, Grampa, Uncle Seth, Amy, Dylan and Arianna. Addison loves watching the waves and playing (and eating) the sand. I have posted some pictures above. I am sure I will be updating again in a couple of weeks.

Beach 5/23/09

Addison and Mommy went to the beach yesterday to visit with Dena and her family. This was Addison's first time to the beach and she loved it! We sat her in the sand and she liked picking up the sand and letting it run through her fingers. I think we will spend many more days this summer at the beach as long as Dena's grandparents don't mind. I have added a couple of pictures and a video!

This week we also had a play date with Chrissy and Danica, Steph and Tucker! Here is a picture of Addison and Dani!

Easter 2009

Addison, Tasha and Sebastian. For some of you that don't know, we had to put Sebastian to sleep this week. We are lost without him, but he lived a great life of 16.5 years. RIP Sebastian

Hi everyone. Today we went to the doctor's for Addison's 4 month check up. She is doing great! She now weighs 13 lbs 5 oz and is 23.5" long. I can't believe how far she has come with her weight and is looking much healthier now. She is definitely getting some thigh chunk and some chubby cheeks. The doctor said we can start her on rice cereal this month so it oughta be interesting. Addison is developing her own personality and is such a happy baby. She is laughing a lot when Mom and Dad are acting silly, and loves to play in her exersaucer with all of her toys. She gets quite frustrated because they are all attached and right now she can't reach them to her mouth, so I have to put other toys on the tray so she can chew on them. We celebrated Easter with Mom's family last weekend and had fun coloring eggs. She met Grummie for the first time and had fun with her Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Grandparents. Pool

So on Tuesday I went and bought Addison her very first kiddie pool! It was so hot, so we both put on our bathing suits and sat in the pool to cool off. At first she didn't like it because the water was pretty cold but got used to it and was able to sit in the water for a little while. Here are some pictures from that day! Enjoy!!!

3 Month Weight Check

Addison went to her doctor's today for a weight check appointment. Sean and I were very anxious to see how much weight she had gained over the past month. Addison now weighs a whopping 11 pounds 13 ounces and is 22 1/2 inches long. She gained 3 pounds and 12 oz and the doctor was very happy with that. She went from being in the less than 3 percentile for her weight to the 25 percentile! She is healthy as can be and her next appointment is for her 4 month check up, and that is in 3 weeks.

Very Busy Weekend!

This weekend was very busy for all of us, on Saturday we had Arianna's 5th birthday party and we went to visit Dena and her family. Then Sunday of course was Easter, and we went to Sean's parents house for dinner with the family. And today Addison is 3 months old! I know I say this every month but I can't believe how fast time is going by. She now likes to sit up so she can see everything that is going on, we tried her in her Bumbo seat yesterday and she loves it! (it is a little seat for infants so they can sit up right). She was able to watch us bake cookies and play with her toys. We did try it at Sean's parents house, but she couldn't see everything that was going and didn't want to miss anything, so we took her out. She has really filled out too, we are guessing she is around 11 or 12 pounds now, but we will see at her weight check on the 23rd. Enjoy the pictures!

Johnny Jumper

Addison started using her Johnny Jumper this weekend, she absolutely loves it. She is still a little small to fill up the seat so we have to pack blankets around her but once those blankets are in places she is a jumping queen! It is so crazy how fast she is growing. This week we had to change out her sleepers from 0-3 months to 3-6 months. She is getting so tall and is really starting to fill out a bit. What a fun age!!! She is smiling and talking up a storm and is really starting to develop her own little personality. She has started playing with her toys as well, she holds on to her rattle for a short period of time, but really loves her Winnie the Pooh book that makes crinkling noises.
